Welcome to the U.S.S. Newcastle NCC-91928-A

The year is 2388, the Newcastle is the second vessel in Starfleet to use the Multi-Skin Cloaking Device, developed by Starfleet Research and Development in combination with assistance from the Romulan Democratic System. With the Federation and Starfleet finally in a stable state of peace, Starfleet has tasked the Newcastle with patrolling and securing the borders of the Romulan System.

The USS Newcastle is named after the City of Newcastle located in the North East of England on Earth. The city dates back to the 2nd Century on Earth's calender. A city that has seen war, disease and commerce. This ship was given the name Newcastle after the Construction Yard Chief, Master Chief Petty Officer William McVey. Fitted with new tactical systems and the latest technologies from Starfleet's Research and Development Division, the Newcastle is built to put down any resistance from its enemies.

I am Captain Timor Belar and it is my mission to see my crew safely through all they may encounter. I hold honour, friendship and perseverance as the highest of all ideals and I expect nothing less from my crew. Through our efforts we will maintain our focus and determination we'll go forward to explore many more new species and expand the frontier of the Federation.

Like what you see? And you're a member of Second Life. Then join us! Be part of a larger adventure and show us what you're made of. We're waiting for you!

And finally, don't forget to read our rules before you apply!

» Merry Christmas Crew of the USS Newcastle

Posted on Sat Dec 22nd, 2012 @ 3:19pm by Vice Admiral Timor Belar in General News

We hope that all our crew have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year we would also like to ask all of our crew to be safe over the holidays and to take care and also to have great time and such.

We hope to see you all blurred eyed and limp tailed after the holidays are over so that we can get on and continue our voyage into the depths of the Captains mind in his strange and twisted sense of the Star Trek universe nah only kidding. We hope to see you all back here in the New Year to see what other fun we can get up to I vote for missions where we have to go and safe a great big colony of lovely ladies and men so there will be plenty eye candy for both sets of crew.

But remember to take a moment over the festivities and to spare a thought or two for the people who sadly cannot be here for this festive time.

So remember to have a great time, drink plenty and make merry and above all else have as much fun as possible and we shall see you all in 2013.

From the Command Staff of the USS Newcastle.

Dear members,

Lately due to lack of activity on the site and some loss of interest we have decided to close the Newcastle site down for renovation work and re-open it for a group based in Second Life called Starfleet Special Operations Division. If any of you are a user of Second Life but are not part of the above mentioned group please contact me in world for an application form (search for user Tolian Beck).

If anyone would like to save their profile rather than it being deleted, it shall be placed into the Inactive Crew Roster. Hope some of you may join us later down the line.

Regards,

Commander Timor Belar
Fleet Adjutant

Dear crew,

Firstly I would like to thank everyone for returning after the New Year. I would like to try and increase the recruitment and activity of the crew throughout this year.

We have updated the ships class to an Aerie Class. This is roughly the same size as a Defiant Class but appears weaker at least on the outside. We have updated the Deck Listing and the Ships Tour (To Be Completed) so please familiarise yourselves with these.

Just before Xmas we lost our Commanding Officer, Chief Helm Officer and Chief Medical Officer. Thus changes have been made which we hope will improve things. I hope that crew morale will not decrease, in fact I hope we move swiftly forward in our new mission called Discovery.

Remember if you have ideas for a Mission or a Sub-Mission please feel free to contact me. We will be giving out awards to Best Poster of the Month and Best Recruiter of the Month so get to work people. Promotions might not come as quickly as they did in the past. If you want to get promoted you need to be very active and have a high quality of mission/personal logs.

Take care and if you have any problems feel free to contact myself or my Executive Officer.

Kindest regards,

Captain Timor Belar
Commanding Officer
USS Newcastle NCC-91928-A
