General Rules


1. Always use posting formats when writing mission posts or personal logs, these can be found in the Wiki under the Newcastle Category.


2. Suggestions or complaints should be submitted to the First Officer and/or the Second Officer.


3. If your in a group chat on an instant messenger please use your bio picture for the USS Newcastle simm. If you do not have one, contact the C.O. immediately. This is just to help members know who you are, if you don't want to show the picture try and indicate to others who you are within the simm.

4. Anyone wishing to attend a real life meeting should contact the Commanding Officer for travel and direction details.


Simm Rules


1. When creating a new character please remember we are a Star Trek Roleplay group based in the year 2386 and we have a high standard for character bios so please try and match your character name, appearance and history with the species. Consult the web for information or search the wiki for help. Alternatively contact a member of the Command Department for assistance.


2. All crew should login and post at least three times per week in accordance with posting rules. There is always something to do on the simm, you MUST look through the mission logs in order to find it. Department heads/Assistant Department heads including C.O. and X.O. must login and post at least ever day or two each week as it helps to set an example to other members. Failure to do so will result in negative action against you.


3. We have three types of status for characters; * Active means you are actively logging in and posting. * LOA means your on a requested leave of absence. * ELOA means an extended leave of absence you've requested.

If you're gonna be away for any length of time, please notify us immediately.


4. Ensure that all Post's are within PG-15 Guidelines (COPPA)


5. Respect and follow the Chain of Command.


6. If a negative relationship develops between yourself and another crew member contact the C.O. or X.O. and DO NOT abuse the internal Email System to insult or attack in some other form. Breaching of this rule will result in being banned from the site and server.


7. Always remember to have fun and enjoy your experience.


Additional Simm Rules


~Insubordination of any kind must be discussed before any post.


~Any and all plans or ideas regarding long lasting and extensive technology must be discussed and reviewed by the C.O. and X.O.


~Only the C.O. can promote/demote playing characters (Although Department Heads may recommend promotions/demotions).


~The C.O. is the only ones who can start/end missions unless specifically instructed otherwise.


~No extreme profanity (swearing) or sexually explicit (porn) writing/dialogue, we are a PG-15 Simm, so remember that.


~You may not use anybody else's character in ways that do not fit the previously established personality, or make major changes to that character without prior approval from that person.


~Do not kill or severely injure another character without permission.


~The C.O. reserves the right to edit or delete posts if deemed necessary.


~Remember that this is a game...the more involved you are, the better it is. Have fun!


Note: the C.O. reserves the right to delete/reject posts that are short and/or pointless. If so, you will be notified and will need to write another post.
