		Starfleet Captain's Star The Starfleet Captain's Star is presented by the Commanding Officer of a starship, starbase or other Starfleet facility to a member of the crew who has shown through his/her actions and duties, to the Commanding Officer, that he/she is worthy of the prestigious award. This award is decided solely on by the Commanding Officer.		Details
		Chekov Medal The Chekov Medal is awarded to the most outstanding member of the Security Department aboard each starship every year. It is awarded by the Heads of Security, Starfleet Command and was named after Admiral Pavel Chekov, Head of Starfleet Security (Ret'd).		Details
		Bridge Officer Certification The Bridge Officer Certification is awarded to Starfleet officers who pass the Bridge Officer's Test. Passing the test means that the officer is capable of serving as a bridge officer. Officers with a Bridge Officer Certification can take command of the starship they are stationed on if necessary, but an officer is not able to serve as third officer, second officer, first officer or commanding officer until they are given their Command Officer Certification. Awarded only by Commanding Officer. This certification may be earned only once per career.		Details
		Christopher Pike - Medal of Valor Awarded by ONLY a FLAG level officer, to any officer of the rank of Captain or higher for recognition of remarkable leadership, meritorious conduct against an enemy combined with personal acts of bravery in any battle to retake or recapture previously held Starfleet or Federation property/properties. May be awarded only once per career.		Details
		Star of the Federation The most prestigious award a Starfleet officer or enlisted crewmember can be awarded. The Star of the Federation is awarded on a decision by the Federation Council and Starfleet Command and can be for a very wide variety of reasons.		Details
		Borg Victory Awarded to any Starfleet Personnel for active participation in any campaign involving the Borg and the successful repelling of the Borg. Issued to those personnel that performed their duty within the territorial limits of the campaign, in the space immediately adjacent thereto or by participating in actual combat operations or in support of combat operations. This includes both front line and support personnel. Issued by Starfleet Command.		Details
		Bajoran Service The Bajoran Service commendation is awarded to any Starfleet personnel who serves more than two years in the Bajor sector in any capacity.		Details
		Away Team Awarded to any Starfleet personnel who has participated in no less than 10 away team missions. This must include the leaving of their assigned post and being feet dry on a foriegn location not under the direct control of the United Federation of Planets. Awarded by C.O. of Starbase, Starship or Unit.		Details
		Medal of Honour The Medal of Honour also known as the Silver Star is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity with Starfleet, distinguishes himself by bravery and valor well above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in an action against any enemy of the Federation; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force. The deed performed must have been so conspicuous as to clearly distinguish the individual above his comrades. The required self-sacrifice, must be above anything normally accepted as going beyond the normal call of duty and must nevertheless have been performed with marked distinction.		Details
		Advanced Tactical Training Course Certification Awarded to those who successfully complete the Advanced Tactical Training Course at Starfleet Academy. A requirement for being part of the Starfleet Intelligence Branch and/or the Starfleet Hazard Operations Division. This certification can only be awarded by the Instructor teaching the course or a qualified officer in possession of the ATTC (Advanced Tactical Training Course) Certification.		Details
		Boarding Repulsion Awarded to any Starfleet Personnel for active participation in any campaign who, during the act of war, prevents or repels any foriegn party from gaining or removing control over any Starfleet property. Issued to those personnel that performed their duty within the territorial limits of the campaign, in the space immediately adjacent thereto or by participating in actual combat operations or in support of combat operations. This includes both front line and support personnel. Issued by Starfleet Command. Awarded to any Starfleet personnel.		Details
		Chin'Toka Service Medal Awarded to any Starfleet Personnel for active participation in the Invasion of or the Retreat of the Chin'Toka System. Issued to those personnel that performed their duty within the territorial limits of the Chin'Toka System, in the space immediately adjacent thereto or by participating in actual combat operations or in support of combat operations. This includes both front line and support personnel. Issued by Starfleet Command only once per career. May be awarded posthumously.		Details
		Combat Landing Service Awarded to any member of Starfleet Personnel who has shown exceptional fighter piloting skills, during any combat experience.		Details
		Advanced Field Medicine Course Awarded to those in completion of the Advanced Field Medicine Course held at Starfleet Academy's School of Medicine. Those in receipt of this qualification are certified as Combat/Field Medics.		Details
		Combat Shuttle Service Awarded to any member of Starfleet Personnel who has shown exceptional Shuttle Piloting skills, during any combat experience.		Details
		Combat Wing Service Awarded to any Starfleet Starfighter Unit who shows immediate and exemplary combat readiness status.		Details
		Diplomatic Distinction Presented to any member of Starfleet who makes a significant contribution to the Diplomatic interests of the Federation. Awarded by Starfleet Command.		Details
		Distinguished Service Cross Awarded to Starfleet Commanders or below, including Warrant Officers (or equivalent), for meritorious or distinguished services before the enemy. The Officers must display such gallantry, determination, and esprit de corps in accomplishing its mission as to set it apart from and above other units participating in the same campaign. The degree of heroism required is the same that which would warrant the Presidential Citation to a unit.		Details
		Dominion Conflict Service Medal Awarded to any Starfleet Personnel for active participation in the Dominion War. Issued to those personnel that performed their duty within the territorial limits of the Dominion War, in the space immediately adjacent thereto or by participating in actual combat operations or in support of combat operations. This includes both front line and support personnel. Issued by Starfleet Command only once per career. May be awarded posthumously.		Details
		Scotty Engineering Achievement The Scotty Engineering Achievement is presented by Starfleet Engineering to any member of engineering staff, or other department, but has served with engineering, who shows an outstanding commitment to their work. 		Federation Achievement of Excellence The Federation Achievement of Excellence is presented by Starfleet to any member of Command, or other department, who shows an outstanding commitment to their work.		Details
		Federation Order of Distinction The Federation Order of Distinction is issued to those who have served the Federation in an unselfish manner for a period of at least, but not less than one year and has no disciplinary issues on record. May be recommended by any member of Starfleet or Alliance's immediate Commanding Officer, but requires Federation approval prior to issuance. Only 200 are issued throughout the Federation each year. No more than 5 issuances to any one member of the Federation.		Details
		Federation Order of Merit The Federation Order of Merit is issued to those who have served the Federation in an unselfish manner for a period of at least, but not less than one year and has no disciplinary issues on record. Does not hold quite the prestige as the Federation Order Commendation. May be recommended by any member of Starfleet or Alliance's immediate Commanding officer, but requires Federation approval prior to issuance. Only 1000 are issued throughout the Federation each year. 		Federation Unit Commendation Awarded by the Federation of Planets to units which have distinguished themselves by exceptionally meritorious service or outstanding achievement that clearly sets the unit above and apart from similar units. The services include; performance of exceptionally meritorious service, accomplishment of a specific outstanding achievement of significance, combat operations against an armed enemy of the Federation or military operations involving conflict with or exposure to hostile actions by an opposing foreign force. 		First Contact Medal Presented to any Starfleet Officer for service during a First Contact Mission. Officer must have been an active participant in the first contact experience. Awarded by Commanding Officer of a ship.		Details
		Good Conduct Medal Awarded to any Starfleet Personnel for exceptional conduct under conditions of duress. Awarded by any Commanding Officer of a starbase, ship or unit. One awarding per career.		Details
		The John Smith Adversity Award Awarded to any Officer or Marine who experiences adversity above and beyond what would normally be acceptable and successfully fights through it. This does NOT include any adversity experienced as a direct result of conflicts or war.		Details
		James T. Kirk Leadership Award James T. Kirk Leadership Award - Awarded to any COMMAND or FLAG level officer of Starfleet for exceptional Leadership skills.		Details
		Legion of Merit Awarded to Officers, WO's and non-commissioned member of Starfleet "who shall have distinguished themselves by exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services." The Legion of Merit may be awarded for combat or non combat services. Justification of the award may accrue by virtue of exceptionally meritorious service in a succession of important positions. This is the highest Starfleet award for non combat services.		Details
		Longevity of Service The Long Service Honor is awarded by Starfleet Command for serving in Starfleet for five years. Each ribbon is presented following each five year period, therefore after thirty years the sixth ribbon is presented.		Details
		McCoy Cluster The McCoy Cluster is presented by Starfleet Medical to any member of medical staff, or other department, but has served with medical, who shows an outstanding commitment to their work. It is named after: Fleet Admiral Doctor Leonard H. McCoy, Commander-in-Chief of Starfleet Medical (Ret'd).		Details
		Medal of Sacrifice Awarded to any Starfleet personnel who, without regards to personal safety, and during any act of war campaign, successfully removes a command or Flag officer from a harmful or life threatening situation, and by which results in the death of that officer. Awarded posthumously by Starfleet Command.		Details
		Medical Achievement The Medical Achievement Award is presented by Starfleet Medical to any member of the medical staff, who successfully advances the medical field by new designing new technics in healing or medical administration.		Details
		Meritorious Research Awarded to any member of Starfleet Science personnel who, through persistence and diligence, makes a significant discovery for the Federation.		Details
		Nebula Star Award Awarded to any member of Starfleet is awarded by Starfleet Command to Starfleet personnel ONLY for an array of reasons and can be such as, courage under fire, or other acts of heroism to include taking command of a Starbase or Starship in a crisis situation in the absence of a Superior Officer, etc., and while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force. 		Phaser Certification Awarded once per career for certification and proficient ability to use a hand held phaser or phaser rifle. May NOT be worn if any EXPERT ribbon is awarded.		Details
		Small Arms Expert Awarded once per career for EXPERT certification and EXPERT ability to use a hand held phaser/small arms. May NOT be worn if hand held and Phaser Rifle EXPERT ribbon is awarded.		Details
		Hand-Held & Phaser Rifle Expert Awarded once per career for EXPERT certification and EXPERT ability to use a hand held phaser AND phaser rifle. May NOT be worn in conjunction with either the hand-held expert or phaser certification commendations.		Details
		Elite Marksman Awarded to those members of Starfleet who have excelled in the skill of Elite Marksmanship in a wide variety of regulation and non-regulation weapons.		Details
		P.O.W. Ribbon Awarded to any Starfleet personnel who has been captured and detained for more than 14 days as a Prisoner of War.		Details
		Preservation of Life Awarded to any member of Starfleet who, through disregard for their own life helps or single handedly saves the life of another person regardless of race, nationality or alien influence.		Details
		Purple Heart Awarded to any Starfleet Personnel who has suffered major or permanent injuries, or has been killed while showing extraordinary courage in the fulfilling of his or her duties while defending the United Federation of Planets.		Details
		Rand Trophy The Rand Trophy and Medal are presented to the "Captain's Yeoman" every Earth month aboard a starship, by a joint decision between the Commanding Officer and Executive Officer. Each month the department head's choose the best enlisted crew member in their department and put the name forward for the Rand Medal. The Captain and Executive Officer then choose the best of the best and present them with the medal. If the same crew member receives the award three times in one year, the are presented with the Rand Trophy from Starfleet Command. Trophy and medal named after Vice-Admiral Janice Rand, Chief of Starfleet Operations (Ret'd).		Details
		Ribbon of Discovery Issued to any Starfleet member who discovers anything previously unknown to Starfleet. This may include, but is not limited to, spacial anomalies or bodies, medical findings, etc.		Details
		Romulan Star Awarded for defence of Romulan property while in direct confrontation with a new or hostile species and within the spirit of the Romulan Warrior. Awarded by Starfleet Command, and only after receiving approval of the Romulan Empire.		Details
		Special Service Presented to any Starfleet Officer, holding a rank of Lieutenant or higher for participation in any assignment that is ordered by Starfleet Command and exceeds regular assigned duties. This award is for intel assignments, special operations and all other classified assignments.		Details
		Species 8472 Victory Awarded to any Starfleet Personnel for active participation in any campaign involving Species 8472 and the successful defense of any United Federation of Planet's property or territories while in direct major confrontation with Species 8472. Issued to those personnel that performed their duty within the territorial limits of the campaign, in the space immediately adjacent thereto or by participating in actual combat operations or in support of combat operations. 		Starbase Combat Service Presented to any Starfleet member assigned to a Starbase and preforms during battle conditions. Awarded by Commanding Officer of a Starbase.		Details
		Starfleet One Year Service Medal Awarded to any member of Starfleet who successfully completes a minimum of 1 year as a Starfleet Officer on active duty and stationed on either a Starbase or Starship and is interim or permanent Commanding Officer of that post. Must have been awarded the 1 Year Achievement Commendation no less than 6 months prior to receiving this commendation.		Details
		Starfleet Commendation The Starfleet Commendation is awarded to those Officer's who have performed their duties to the fullest and have gained their fellow crew member's respect and have been noticed by their Department Head or the Executive Officer.		Details
		Starfleet Victory Awarded for the successful defence of any Federation of Planets property or territories while in direct and major confrontation with a new or hostile species. Awarded by Starfleet Command.		Details
		Sword of Kahless Medal Awarded for defence of Starfleet property while in direct confrontation with a new or hostile species and within the spirit of the Klingon Warrior. Awarded by Starfleet Command, and only after receiving approval of the Klingon High Council.		Details
		Vulcan Defence Award The Vulcan Award for Defence is award to Starfleet Personnel who successfully formulate a theory and prove it during their time in the Starfleet Defence Department. It is award by the Head of Starfleet Defence.		Details
		Wolf 359 Service Medal Awarded to any Starfleet Personnel for active participation in the Battle of Wolf 359. Issued to those personnel that performed their duty within the territorial limits of the Battle of Wolf 359, in the space immediately adjacent thereto or by participating in actual combat operations or in support of combat operations. 		Pilot's Flight Cross Awarded to those Starfleet Officers who have passed the Level 5 Pilot's Exam. Required prerequisite in order to achieve Navigational status at and/or above a Galaxy-Class vessel and greater tonnage.		Details
		Distinguished Pilot's Cross Awarded to those Starfleet Officers who have passed the Level 8 Pilot's exam, certifying them to a Navigation status upon any Starfleet and/or Federation vessel. This is usually only achieved by a select few as the testing for this level is extremely rigorous in order to be certified for any craft in the Federation of any tonnage.		Details
		Grankite Order of Tactics The Grankite Hegemony continue to award this 'chivalric order' to Federation Starfleet personnel by their own criteria. To date, James T. Kirk holds the first ever award, with "Silver Starbursts". Awarded to entire class of the Wolf-359 Advanced Tactical School.		Details

		Fighter Pilot Wings Awarded to Pilots upon gradutation from Flight School which denotes them as Fully Qualified Fighter Pilots.		Details
		Trainee Instructor Fighter Pilot Wings After a year of active service within a Squadron a Pilot can apply to take Instructor Training as their next assignment instead of returning to or progressing to a Squadron. Note only available in Peace Time. Training lasts for 6 months and upon graduation Pilots are promoted to the rank of Flying Officer. This fast promotion is designed as an insentive for Pilots to taken instructor training to better help the Squadron in day to day running as it allows the Squadron Commander to consentrate on the overall running. 		Expert Instructor Fighter Pilot Wings After a further year and a half as an Instructor, Pilots can apply to take the Expert Course. The course lasts for two years with Pilots graduating to Senior status after six months. Pilots graduating this course are eligable to be promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant after a futher six months within a Squadron.		Details
		Advanced Fighter Pilots Wings These are awarded to Pilots after graduation from Top Gun. The course is a mix of all of Earth's Advanced Fighter Pilot Training. Duration of course lasts for six months as Pilots should already be knowledgeable in both Fighter Flight and Fighter Management upon submission of their application. A Pilot must have also spent a futher two years in a squadron and have reached the rank of Flight Lieutenent and hold the position of either Flight Leader or Squadron Commander depending on the Starship or Installation the Fightercraft are assigned to. 		Starfleet Delta Cross The Starfleet Delta Cross is the second highest military decoration of the Federation Starfleet, awarded to any person who, while serving with Starfleet, distinguishes himself or herself in action by extraordinary heroism not justifying an award of the Medal of Honor. The action must take place under one of three circumstances: while engaged in action against an enemy of the Federation; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force; or, while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict in which the Federation is not a belligerent party. To earn a Delta Cross the act to be commended must be performed in the presence of great danger or at great personal risk and must be performed in such a manner as to render the individual highly conspicuous among others of equal grade, rate, experience, or position of responsibility. An accumulation of minor acts of heroism does not justify an award of the Delta Cross.		Details

		Hazard Team Ribbon - Trained This ribbon is worn by crew members who are, or have actively served with a Hazard Team. The Hazard Team are a mixture of crew from various departments on board a vessel that receive extra training. They are deployed on Away Missions that are deemed too 'hazardous' for an ordinary Away Team. This award is worn by crew members who are "trained" for Hazard Team duty		Details
		Hazard Team Ribbon - Active Duty This ribbon is worn by crew members who are, or have actively served with a Hazard Team. The Hazard Team are a mixture of crew from various departments on board a vessel that receive extra training. They are deployed on Away Missions that are deemed too 'hazardous' for an ordinary Away Team. This award is worn by personnel who have actively served on a Hazard Team.		Details
