First Officer Personal log
Stardate: 65027.6 - January 10th 2388 at 14:40pm GST

I am now here on the ship, I have met the captain and now have a few moments to unpack before I head upto the bridge. I know this is a fine ship and I'm looking forward to seeing what she can do. One of the things I did notice is the crew seem on edge; could be nerves. I just hope what ever it is, doesn't effect their duties.

The Captain did not have to much to say, I just hope the fact I'm not his choice for his First Officer has not put a bad mark on me already. Maybe the problem is he fears I'm going to always be looking over his work questioning his orders. Ships this size don't normally have a full Commander as First Officer, they have a Lieutenant Commander as First Officer. In some cases a full Commander has Captained these ships, Ben Sisko did before his promotion.
I don't have any special orders from Starfleet, I'm not here to baby sit the Captain. Maybe I'm over thinking things again.

Anyway, time to have a walk around the ship.
